It's sad when pets die, especially when they've only been in your life for a short while. I only had Jade for about 18 months when she died. Although that's a lot longer that some others, it's still pretty painful and a tough event to have to experience. Me and Shana have decided that and Indiana Jones Marathon is looking like a really good plan for this evening.
So today while thrift store hopping with the loves [ie Jess, Shana & Tony] I happened to stumble across a vinyl copy of The Who's Quadrophenia. Mr. Ross would be proud. It cost $3, but the minimum charge was $10 and I can afford that steep of a purchase at this time in my life, so Tony, being the kind soul that he his, lent me $3 in cash to buy the album. Upon walking towards 14th street we encountered a lovely little French restaurant/pastry shop that I grabbed the menu to. It looks reasonably priced for lunch and dinner and I'm seriously thinking about making a trip there before the show in Brooklyn on Saturday. We stopped in a quaint little boutique which was way to expensive for our college-student wallets, and there was this pretty little dress in the window that was made for a girl who has a waist that is about the size of a saucer. So Jess went to tried it on and Shana & I were like "Hell yeah, we're doing it too." As we stood looking at ourselves in the mirror, trying to zip them up we found out that it cost $82. An okay price for something that perfect. I know that there's no way I have enough money to buy it so I did the first thing that would get me money, call Uncle Donny and ask him to go to dinner this week. AKA he'll give me money. Hopefully it'll be enough for the dress and to get home this weekend.
It's going to be a good weekend. Friday I'm going to the E-hole and going to emerse myself in the Eastchester culture that is known as Spazz Co. Thank God. I can't wait. I can't wait for it to be slutty and raunchy and all the scandalous dirty, filthy beats that I've come to know and love year after year. Saturday I'm planning to go to that little French place I found and then trek over to Brooklyn for Rob's show at the coffee place. Then, Sunday... The mother of all Sundays for a girl like me... SuperBowl Sunday. I can't wait to see Eli kick some ass and for Tom Brady to fall down and hurt his ankle some more. Goddamn. Sounds good to me. Now the thought that concerns me is that I have to get through an entire week of class and possible shifts at Trader Joe's before I can do all this bull shit, but it will be damn worth it.
There was a fight last night outside of U-Hall between a cabbie and a hired driver. There may have been an accident, but Shana & I called it entertainment for a cigarette break. So that's that and I'm pumped for Indiana Jones. I should really catch up on Nip/Tuck seeing as it's on tomorrow night. Oh, but wait, we're going to see Vampire Weekend for a show / signing tomorrow at Virgin... at 10. AKA Nip/Tuck's airing time. Another week, another episode missed. Oh well I'll catch up eventually.
As for now, that's all the blabbering I have to do, I'm sure there'll be more after Raiders of The Lost Ark. But my priority now is to send Annamaria some lovely, and probably offensive bumper stickers.
